This amazing first class train tour is provided by our partner agency – a specialist for exclusive train package tours.

Day 1 Individual arrival

Train trip from Swiss airport (Geneva / Zurich / Basel) to Lucerne.

Explore the beautiful city Lucerne with the historic district, the Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument. The city is beautifully located on the Lake Lucerne and therefore a boat cruise in the afternoon is highly recommended.

Overnight in Lucerne

Day 2 Excursion to Mount Titlis

From Lucerne the train takes you to the mountain monastery village Engelberg where you board a gondola which takes you up to the Trübsee. You continue your trip by another gondola to Stand and finally the first revolving Titlis Rotair cable car takes you up to Mount Titlis (3020 m).
For a spectacular, close-up insight into a glacier, visit the glacier cave and ride the Ice Flyer chairlift. And get your thrills on the Titlis Cliff Walk, a spectacular Suspension bridge at a height of 3041 meters.

Overnight in Lucerne

Day 3 Lucerne – Interlaken

Per panoramic train you travel from Lucerne to Interlaken. Enjoy the wonderful landscape. A restaurant car is located in the middle of the train for hot and cold meals, beverages and snacks.

Explore Interlaken with its famous “Höheweg” (promenade) facing the Jungfrau Mountain or take a stroll through the old town of Unterseen across the river Aare.

Overnight in Interlaken

Day 4 Excursion Jungfraujoch-Top of Europe

Today’s full day excursion takes you up to a unique, high-alpine glacier world. Aboard the legendary Jungfrau Railway you rach Europe’s highest altitude railway station (3454 m). Attractions: Sphinx Terrace, Ice Palace, Alpine Sensation round tour, Plateau with walks in the eternal snow (glacier).

Overnight in Interlaken

Day 5 Interlaken – Zermatt – Gornergrat

Along Lake Thun and through the 34km long Lötschberg Base Tunnel you will reach Zermatt on foot of Switzerlands’ most famous mountain, the Matterhorn.

In the afternoon the cog railway takes you to the Gornergrat (3089 m.) This magnificant viewpoint not only has one of the best views of the Matterhorn, but also shows you the greatest collection of the highest glacier covered peaks of Switzerland.

Overnight in Zermatt

Day 6 Individual departure

We recommend to get up at sunrise to see the Matterhorn at it’s best (see picture).

John & Barbara, USA, June 17

My husband and I were excited to spend our vacation in Switzerland during the summer of 2017 since we heard much about the beautiful mountains, lakes, villages and the famous Alps. With limited time and transportation we needed a tour guide who could provide the personal attention to our needs recommending the truly best places.

Our trip became special at Interlachen when we connected with Sibylle who made the difference between a good tour guide and a great tour guide!

Sibylle gave us a warm and enthusiastic welcome. Her skills were evident from the beginning in her communication (English speaking), flexibility and passion for her work. She demonstrated her true insider knowledge of the outdoor activities and attractions giving depth to the historical and cultural background of each. As a result, we experienced the

excitement and beauty of the Swiss Skyline, Brienz waterfalls, alpine meadows and legendary Grandhotel Giessbach. After a full day of touring, Sibylle found us the Grimsel Hospiz with a stunning view and great hospitality. She also helped us navigate our next trip to Milan by rail which would have been challenging without her direction. I highly recommend Sibylle to any traveler for an outstanding and memorable Swiss experience.
